Choosing the correct skincare

Wondering how to find a quality skin care product? Here are a few hints.

1. If you can get it at Walmart, Target, or other grocery store, it isn't good. Why? Because the companies make mass quantities and water down their product a lot. Although you may see beneficial ingredients listed, they aren't used in the appropriate quantity.

2. If you can get a booklet of some sort or go to a meeting for your skin care, and call and order from your 'rep' (someone that is selling for the company, but has never gone through any actual skin care related training) it isn't good for you. Why? Same reason as above. Although they are 'higher quality' because they are not available in stores, they still pose the same reasons as to why you shouldn't be using that line. Also? You may have an issue, but don't know the underlying problem of why you have the skin condition you do. A rep will simply pick the product that is 'most expensive' or take a guess as to what your problem is and recommend a product. Also, you may see results at first, which is great, but they don't have any long term benefits- so once you stop using the product, your skin may go back to its original state. The products don't ever fix the issue- they just cover them up.

3. Department stores- Clinique, Estee Lauder, Bare Minerals, Clarins and Lancome are a lot better for you than any product you can get at a drug store, but it still isn't the best for you. A lot of the department store products are sold by people that are not specifically educated or trained in skin care and therefore cannot correctly suggest the right product for you and your skin type. So, you may be using a product that is harming your skin, and resulting in little or no changes. Therefore, its just wasted time and money!

4. Salons and Spas- this is definitely the best place to purchase your skin care product. Why? Spas and Salons are not allowed to hire anyone that is not licensed as a professional. Apposed to receptionists, everyone in a spa is a licensed Master Esthetician or Basic Esthetician! Products sold here are not readily available to you and they may suggest getting a facial before your purchase so they can evaluate your skin, and talk to you about some of your skin concerns.

You be the judge, but I would suggest saving your time and money, and finding a quality spa to visit, talking to an esthetician, and finding the right skin care products to help the aging process along!

Black Friday and Cyber Monday- Norwex

I absolutely love NORWEX! I can't get over how many people don't know about it or are skeptical of the products. When someone actually uses them, they see what a huge difference they make in your life and are immediately hooked! That being said, I am offering a little special for those that may have an interest, but just don't have the incentive to fully convert.

With the holidays right around the corner, you want to be able to spend as much time with family as possible. Let's be honest, no one has the time during this time of the year to clean their home thoroughly. NO excuses with Norwex! Cutting your cleaning time by 75%, you will have more time than ever to spend with your family and friends during the holiday season.

Norwex- Cleaning Paste

Tyson and I were lucky enough to get new appliances for our kitchen. In the process of switching them out, we noticed some nasty, gluey, gunky, sticky something. Tyson scrubbed it but was unsuccessful. So, I busted out my cleaning paste. Why not give it a try. So, I applied it to my Norwex Enviro-cloth and started scrubbing. HOLY CRAP. It came off. I'm still in shock- it's so hard to believe it works on everything but it seriously does. I took pictures to prove it. So if anyone is ever interested in trying out Norwex, click here and take a look at some of the great cleaning supplies.

This is the before- so gross. Ty tried to scrub it off before but it wouldn't even budge.

2 minutes and a little cleaning paste did the trick! I am in love with it!

Happy Cleaning!
